Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using AC Remote ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App.
Description of Service
AC Remote is a mobile application that enables users to control air conditioning units using infrared (IR) signals transmitted via compatible IR adapter dongles, WiFi IR hubs, or direct WiFi connections to smart AC units. The App provides a virtual remote control interface for supported AC brands.
Hardware Requirements
The App requires compatible hardware to send IR signals to your air conditioner. This may include:
- A USB-C, Lightning, or 3.5mm IR adapter dongle
- A WiFi IR hub (e.g., BroadLink, Tuya-compatible devices)
- A smart AC unit with built-in WiFi (e.g., Daikin, Gree, Midea)
These hardware accessories are sold separately by third-party manufacturers and are not included with the App.
Premium Features
Certain features of the App require an active Premium subscription, available as an auto-renewable subscription through Apple's In-App Purchase system. Subscription terms, pricing, and billing are governed by Apple's terms and conditions. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID settings.
Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, code, and content, is the intellectual property of the developer and is protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be compatible with every air conditioning unit or hardware accessory. IR code coverage varies by brand and model.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App. This includes but is not limited to damages from incorrect AC operation, hardware incompatibility, or data loss.
Third-Party Hardware
The App integrates with third-party hardware accessories and smart AC devices. We are not responsible for the functionality, safety, or warranty of third-party products. Use of third-party hardware is subject to the respective manufacturer's terms and conditions.
Modifications
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the App or any part of it at any time without notice. We may also update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
Governing Law
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
