AC Remote does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. All remote configurations, preferences, and settings are stored locally on your device.
The app uses infrared signals to control air conditioning units. No personal data is transmitted to external servers during remote control operation.
All saved remote configurations, preferences, and settings are stored locally on your device using standard iOS storage mechanisms (UserDefaults and app sandbox). This data is not accessible to other apps or transmitted off your device.
The app may download IR code databases from our servers to support different AC brands and models. These requests contain only the brand/model identifier and do not include any personal data, device identifiers, or usage analytics.
Users may optionally share IR codes they have learned from their original remotes to help other users with the same AC brand. When you choose to contribute, we collect only: the AC brand and model name you enter, the IR signal data, your app version and iOS version, and an anonymous device model identifier (e.g. "iPhone15,2"). No personal information, Apple ID, name, email, location, or unique device identifiers are collected. Contributions are reviewed before being added to the public database.
Premium features are managed entirely through Apple's In-App Purchase system. We do not process, store, or have access to any payment information. All billing is handled by Apple.
AC Remote does not use any third-party analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs. We do not collect usage data, crash reports, or device information beyond what Apple provides through standard App Store analytics (which you can opt out of in iOS Settings).
AC Remote does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The app does not require account creation or collect any personal data from any user.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
